Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) is an automated method used to clean interior surfaces of pipes, vessels, process equipment, and associated fittings without disassembly. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, biotech, food, and beverage industries to ensure consistent, repeatable, and validated cleaning while optimizing water and energy usage.

Course description

This workshop provides an in-depth understanding of Cleaning in Place (CIP) systems, essential for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment without disassembly. Participants will learn how CIP systems ensure proper cleaning and sanitization, reducing contamination risks and enhancing product quality and consistency. The course covers the automation of cleaning processes, leading to increased efficiency, productivity, and reduced downtime. Additionally, it emphasizes compliance with health and safety regulations and the optimization of resources such as water, detergents, and energy, promoting environmentally friendly and cost-effective practices.

Lunch and transportation from Kolding train station to site will be provided.

• Live CIP Demonstration: Cleaning Trials in an Industrial-Scale Tank  including soil and riboflavin tests to demonstrate validation techniques in action.
