Daniel is a Quality Management System specialist with 17 years of experience from biotech and medical device/IVD industry. He started his career as a project leader for pre-clinical studies at Micro Active Protein in Sweden AB in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1998 after studies in chemical engineering at Uppsala University, Sweden. After one year he Ieft this position to study Computer technology and industrial programming for two years in order to broaden his education. The education in both chemical engineering and programming/IT was a good match for IVD company Pharmacia Diagnostics in Uppsala, Sweden and Daniel joined as a QA specialist in 2002.
2003 Pharmacia & Upjohn was bought by Pfizer which later on led to a divest of the IVD business to venture capital in 2004. Now the site in Uppsala became the global HQ in Phadia group and had to transfer from being part of a big pharmaceutical company to become a separate medium sized IVD company. 2005-2008 Daniel successfully headed a QA team during a period when the company went through an intense LEAN Management transformation and in 2008 he entered a position as Quality System Manager. During his time as Quality System Manager he was responsible for a number of different QA related assignments, including preparation and execution of external audits.
2012 Phadia was bought by ThermoFisher and this led to yet another round of QMS transformation as part of the integration with ThermoFisher.
One major project during the years as Quality Sytem Manager at ThermoFisher was the preparation and execution of the company’s first CFDA inspection in 2016. An inspection that was quite unusual compared to other inspections as well as challenging from a resource perspective.
During the fall 2017, after 15 years at Phadia AB/ThermoFisher Daniel joined Philips Healthcare as Site Q&R Leader for a business unit managing a mammography x-ray equipment.
